This is the easiest kit, with no maintenance and no separation of the caterpillars required!
  • The 8-10 caterpillars remain in their 16oz original container, eating, pooping and molting to grow, for about 7-14 days.
  • When they are ready to pupate, they do so on the paper barrier under the lid.
  • Once chrysalis have been formed while attached to the paper barrier, remove the paper barrier and hang in a flight cage of choice, can be purchased from us or other alternatives can be used such as food tents like this one -> Here
  • The adult butterflies emerge after 7-10 days, and will need to be fed an easy sugar-water blend or gatorade as adults.
  • Butterflies can be released within about 24 hours, or can be kept and observed for up to approximately 1 week.
  • Pickup available in Melita June 8th, 2024 during our Monarch Homecoming Festival from 12:00-4:00pm, Melita Legion Hall, 95 Main ST. Melita, MB
  • Delivery available to a Brandon Pick-up location, $8 fee applicable upon pickup.
