Why do Monarchs need help? The Monarch population has lost over 80% of its population in the past 20 years. There are many reasons this has happened with habitat loss as one of the largest factors, followed by chemical use in agriculture and environmental changes.
Milkweed is their sole food source as a caterpillar, relying on the toxins inside Milkweed to give them their self-defense mechanism against predators. Without Milkweed habitats the Monarchs will vanish. |

Received three double butterfly kits this summer. All but one of our beauties made it all the way through. Was the best experience I, those friends who purchased kits, and my family have ever had. So thankful we found Monarch Homestead "
About Us
Natasha and Danial Forster are the "Ma & Pa" owners of Monarch Homestead, started in April of 2017 we have raised and released over hundreds of Monarchs raised from rescued Caterpillars found alongside fields about to be sprayed. We have very big hopes for the future and want to change how people feel about Common Milkweed in the Province of Manitoba!
